Dr. Ananda Reddy has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Chennai with the thesis "The concept of physical transformation in the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo" He has been Associate Professor at the Research Center of the Department of Ethics and Religion of Assumption University in Bangkok and has chaired various institutions. His specialty is the philosophy and yoga of Sri Aurobindo. Currently directs the Center for Advanced Research in Pondicherry, that aims to deepen the analysis of vision and yogic experience of Sri Aurobindo and Mother.
