When I started my practice of Yoga, this is what happened to me:
I sat in a quiet and lonely place. I experienced a great peace and joy...but when I came out of meditation, Life was swallowed me like the jaws of a tiger, without any compassion.
But that was not Yoga. Sri Aurobindo showed me through his golden writings.
Yoga has to embrace all life, not only the lights of the nice moments: also our deepest miseries

Sri Aurobindo told that 'All life is Yoga'.
So to tread the path of yoga one must give everything of life. But it is easier said than done. Actually we know very little of our life. We only move on the surface driven by desire and ideas. Moreover the lower nature is million times stronger than we can think of. So we have to try only one thing-and that is to disappear into the Mother. Let the Mother sit in the throne of life and mould it as she wants. By our own efforts we can do very little (though it is necessary). In Sri Aurobindo's yoga the sadhak has to allow the Divine to take up the job of sadhana. So the only task of life is to give the handle of our life to the Divine.
It can very effectively be achieved through works.
The knowledge and experience is complete only when it is realized in the physical-in Sri Aurobindo's yoga.

Ariane:
Thank you for your words.
Be welcome to this blog.
Greetings.
